About Joe Namath
When you think of Joe Namath, the first thing to come to mind is his outstanding football career at the collegiate level, as well as the professional level. He led the Alabama Crimson Tide to a National Championship in 1964. Later that year, after entering the NFL and AFL draft, Namath was signed by the New York Jets, where he would soon be known as “Broadway Joe”. The high point of his career was his performance in Super Bowl III, where he also earned the title of MVP. Namath’s Jets shocked the world and defeated the Baltimore Colts 16-7. Days before the big game, Namath “guaranteed” a victory and is still remembered today for making that claim. Namath’s hard work and dedication for 13 seasons paid off when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.
Since his retirement from professional football, Joe has spent time in a variety of areas. He has spent time raising his family, working in the entertainment industry, and working closely with various charitable organizations, including his long standing partnership with The March of Dimes. Joe has also kept busy with his weekly TV and radio appearances, including his own weekly radio show and podcast during the football season. Joe hopes that you’ll join him on his latest project, Namath Products. Joe’s love for football and food led him to team up with his cousin, Chef Jon Molnar, to create restaurant quality products for use at home, tailgating, camping or anywhere you go! Joe is looking forward to continuing to do what he loves; spending time with family and friends, watching some good games, and eating some great food!
